MID counter and RFID card

Thanks to the combination of MID-compliant energy meter and RFID authentication, you can see which vehicle is using which amount of energy and can easily bill it manually. In addition, authentication via RFID card prevents charging by unauthorized third parties.

For those who don't know what the term RFID card means: RFID stands for "Radio-Frequency Identification". It enables the contactless exchange of data by means of electromagnetic waves at close range.

With the RFID card and the energy meter, the Amperfied Wallbox is a innovative, economical solution for the management of charging processes for:

  • commercial fleets.
  • Multi-unit buildings.

  • Hotel and catering businesses.

Backend connection, app and web interface

The Amperfied Wallbox supports the standard communication protocol OCPP 1.6. It can be easily connected to backend systems of different providers for managing and billing charging processes. Without an additional backend, the myAMPERFIED app and web interface provide an easy way to view consumption data and export charging history. Each charging process is recorded as well as saved and a detailed charging history is available. This can be viewed and downloaded at any time via the app or the web interface.

For additional cyber security, we will also offer the optionally switchable OCPP 1.6 secure protocol with a software update from Q3 2023.

The possibility to use dynamic load management avoids load peaks in the power grid and optimizes the charging time of the connected electric cars.

  • start and control the charging process remotely.
  • reduce or increase the charging current.
  • monitor the current loading data.
  • to activate the RFID cards of those users who are allowed to access the wallbox.
The wallbox can also be linked to a Home Energy Management System (HEMS) in order to supply the charging station with its own electricity via the in-house PV system. The system only feeds as much solar power into the wallbox as is currently available.

Amperfied Solutions: The wallbox optionally with dynamic load management

The power resources at a charging station are limited. If several employees, hotel guests, renters or restaurant visitors want to charge their electric and hybrid vehicles at the same time, this can become a problem.

The solution is a load management system. It distributes the available charging energy evenly among all the vehicles to be charged. A basic distinction is made between static and dynamic load management:

  • Static load management: Here, a fixed maximum charging power is distributed among the charging points.
  • Dynamic load management: Depending on the power consumption in the building, the power available for the charging stations can be flexibly adjusted up to the level of the grid connection power and distributed to electric and hybrid vehicles according to demand.

With integrated residual current circuit breaker and TÜV Süd certification for "tested safety

As part of our connect series*, the Wallbox has an integrated RCD (FI) type A** circuit breaker for extra protection against fault currents and we are the first manufacturer to offer wallboxes with the internationally recognized GS mark for "Tested Safety". Thus, we meet the quality and safety standards of the German product safety law and the European directives.

The Wallbox with GS mark may be connected to the public grid in accordance with the Energy Industry Act and the Grid Connection Ordinance and is considered ready-to-use, safe work equipment. For you as a company, this reduces the administrative effort required for risk assessments to comply with operational safety as well as time-consuming and costly additional installations.

Frequently asked questions about the wallbox for companies

Does the employer provide an electric or hybrid vehicle as a company car? Then there is no obligation for the employer to bear the costs for the wallbox and its installation.

In general, there are three options that can be negotiated individually between employer and employee:

  1. Employers give the wallboxas a gift
    The tax office considers this to be additional remuneration. As with the company car, the wallbox costs must also be taxed as a non-cash benefit.
  2. The wallbox is lent to employees
    The resulting non-cash benefit is exempt from income tax and social security contributions if the employer owns the wallbox. In contrast to variant 1, salary conversion is not permitted. The wallbox must be recorded as additional remuneration.
  3. Leasing with subsequent transfer
    The wallbox can be leased and taken over at the end of the term. The residual value of the wallbox is then classified as additional wages.

Unfortunately, no. The KfW subsidies 439 and 441 have been discontinued. However, subsidies from the individual federal states and/or cities may be possible. At the same time, please refer to the BW-e-Solar voucher in Baden-Württemberg, which, however, only applies if you install or already own a PV system for self-sufficient power supply.
