The stainless steel V2A (material number 1.4301/AISI 304) used for our products is of very high quality and corrosion resistant. However, in case of permanent influence of sea water or in salty environment, the corrosion resistance is limited and suitable protective measures should be taken.

The Heidelberg Wallbox Home Eco climate and Heidelberg Wallbox Energy Control climate impress with the identical technical design as the Heidelberg Wallbox Home Eco and Heidelberg Wallbox Energy Control. If you charge in a PV-optimized way, the purchase of grid power is avoided. The charging power is then adapted to your currently produced solar power. You thus save the electricity costs that you would pay in comparison with electricity from your energy provider's grid minus the feed-in tariff. For your overview, you can store both your electricity tariff and your feed-in tariff in the app.

The external module Amperfied PowerMeter is required to use the integrated solar management.  

Since phase switching is integrated in the connect.solar, you save the cost of external phase switching and the associated installation costs. If you also use the integrated solar management, you do not need an external energy management system (HEMS) for PV-optimized charging, but only the easy-to-install Amperfied PowerMeter. You can set the ECO mode in the app via the integrated solar management. In this mode, only the surplus energy of your PV system is used for charging.

Yes, in principle, the Wallbox connect.solar has all the functions necessary for charging your vehicle. The wallbox can be flexibly integrated into the future system with PV plant.  

If you need to charge quickly, you can change the charging mode within the my Amperfied app. In BOOST mode, you can charge at the maximum charging power set via the hardware rotary switch in the wallbox.

For energy management with home storage and other energy components, it makes sense to use an external HEMS. You can connect the connect.solar to it and have it controlled. The control of all components and also the connect.solar is then taken over by this central energy management system.

Via the myAmperfied app you have the possibility to view your savings by using the self-generated solar energy. For this purpose, you store your current electricity tariff as well as your feed-in tariff.

The biggest difference is that the Heidelberg Wallbox Energy Control has a communication interface (RS485). This enables (1) local load management and (2) external control:

Yes, follow the instructions in the app to connect your wallbox to your home network via WLAN or connect a LAN line from your home network to the wallbox and connect it via the LAN port in the wallbox. However, the installation of the LAN line in the wallbox may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Enter the ≡ menu, select Devices and then click the + button. Select the wallbox you want to pair (note that you can switch between different compatible devices).

If you want to remove a device from your user account, go to the ≡ menu, select Devices, and then select the device you want to remove, and then click the Remove button. Note that removing a device from your account does not remove any network configuration in the device itself. To do this, you will need to reset the device itself. For information on how to do this, refer to the device's manual.

You can change the preferred language in the app settings in your smartphone setting.

No, the last settings will be restored. Make sure that your router is powered again and connected to the internet to control your devices via the app. However, the charging process has been interrupted and authentication via RFID may be necessary if enabled.

Click on the message or on Notification in the menu to display the error message. There you will also find a note about possible solutions.

To check the connection status, you must check the LED on the communication module. If the LED is constantly green, the connection is properly established, the system will need only a few minutes to respond. If the LED is not lit, the connection is broken. Possible solutions to re-establish the connection are to turn off the device and turn it on again or check the router's Internet connection.

Please check in the device settings if your device is still paired and online. If it is offline but available, please check your internet connection. If it has disappeared, please perform pairing again by clicking "Add Device". If pairing fails again, please contact support@amperfied.com for professional help.

The Combox is the leader in a load management network with several wallboxes and provides each follower (Energy Control Wallbox) with the corresponding current.

You can access each connected Energy Control Wallbox directly via a web interface. This gives you an overview of the respective current status, the charging energy per charging cycle, the charging behavior and fault messages of each wallbox. In addition, you can import a software update for the Combox and each connected wallbox and implement dynamic load management.

Another option for connecting the Combox to a backend via OCPP1.6 allows you to implement many functions that are available via the web interface via a cloud connection.

With static load management, the maximum current for the entire wallbox network is fixed. With dynamic load management, the maximum current is adjusted to the total consumption in the household installation. This requires a metering system, which we offer as Heidelberg Combox Complete .

The Combox can control the charging of up to 16 connected Energy Control units. It is therefore the leader in a load management network. The power available for this purpose can either be set permanently in the Combox (static load management) or adjusted variably and intelligently depending on the power consumption in the building (dynamic load management). With dynamic load management, the optimum power is therefore always available for charging without exceeding the grid connection power. For dynamic load management, an additional measuring device is required to record the power demand of the building installation. A software update may have to be performed in the Combox for the latest range of functions.

The column Stele Solo Lite has a high-quality metal alloy and is available in black. In addition, it is optionally possible to mount the accessory "Holder charging cable" on the Stele Solo Lite.

While pure electric vehicles charged at an AC wallbox can usually draw charging current on all three AC phases, hybrid (plug-in) vehicles are often limited to one or two AC phases. Thus, if a hybrid vehicle is connected to a wallbox, not all phases may be used and the charging power is reduced accordingly.

Most AC wallboxes for private use offer a maximum charging power of 11 kW (AC). Wallboxes with more power must not only be registered with your energy provider, but must also be additionally approved so that the private power connection is not overloaded. Public charging stations, on the other hand, often offer greater charging power - more than 22 kW (AC or DC) - and can therefore also perform a faster charging process, provided your e-vehicle also supports this.

The DC fault current disconnection of the wallboxes from HEIDELBERG AMPERFIED fulfills the protection goals of IEC 62955-1. The prescribed RCD according to EN 61851-1 and VDE 0100-722 can therefore be an RCT type A.

Important note! The DC disconnection is not a personal protection device in the sense of VDE 0100-410. It can therefore not be tested according to VDE 0100-600 or VDE 0105-100 with the usual test devices (installation testers). The DC disconnection cannot be tested in the RCD type B test mode of the test devices.

The DC disconnection must trip at a DC fault current of 6mA after max. 10 seconds.

The electrician can select a type A RCD for the mandatory RCD (residual current device) during installation. The integrated DC residual current device meets the protection objectives of IEC 62955-1.

The line short-circuit protection must have a characteristic C that allows 8-10 times the internal and must not exceed a maximum rated current of 16 A depending on the set power of the charging system.

We must ensure that emissions from our mobility are reduced. This is where the GHG quota comes in. It is about reducing greenhouse gases from the energies used in the transport sector and promoting renewable energies.

The GHG quota (greenhouse gas reduction quota) is thus aimed at all those who supply energy to the transport sector in Germany. This concerns in particular mineral oil companies, which provide the majority of fuels in the transport sector which are today mainly fossil nature and thus many climate-damaging emissions are responsible.

These companies are obliged to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions of these fuels, by a legally defined percentage, each year and demonstrably.

Since 01.01.2022, electricity for electric cars, as an alternative fuel with lower emissions, can be used to meet the reduction quota. Owners of electric vehicles can sell their CO2 savings to petroleum companies, which in turn can meet their quota by purchasing the electricity.

The GHG ratio is regulated by the German Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) and the 38th Federal Immission Control Ordinance (BImSchV No. 38). According to the 38th BImSchV, the Federal Environment Agency is the body responsible for testing fuels placed on the market and certifying the emissions saved.

As the ones who put most of the fuel into circulation, it is defacto petroleum companies that are legally required to reduce their GHG intensity by a set percentage each year as part of the GHG quota. They are obligated to meet quotas. If they fail to do so, they will be subject to a penalty payment for each ton of CO2 not saved, 600 €/t CO2 to be precise.

There are various options available to oil companies to meet the requirements of the GHG quota and reduce their emissions each year. These include, above all, the sale of lower-emission fuels such as blends of biofuels (e.g. E10 or E5 at the filling station).

However, since the reduction quota has risen significantly in recent years and will continue to rise, it is now no longer sufficient to meet the requirements and avoid penalties by selling biofuels alone. Therefore, they must additionally generate GHG quota quantities through charging stations or purchase the saved emissions from electric vehicles.

With the GHG quota or the issuance of environmental certificates, the federal government wants to ensure a redistribution of financial resources from fossil products to renewable energies in transport. This creates an efficient promotion of zero-emission transport.

Effectively, less fossil fuel is used in transport and renewable forms of energy are promoted. By including charging electricity from both the public and non-public charging sectors, the federal government recognizes that electric mobility is also a possible alternative form of emissions reduction. Simply explained, an electric car driver brings lower-emission energy to the road when charging non-publicly (e.g., at home or at work) and is not driving a diesel or gasoline car.

By selling your GHG quota, you are now rewarded for your environmentally friendly behavior in this regard. If you do not sell your quota, the legislator may auction it at the end of the year to companies that are subject to the quota and use the proceeds as they see fit.
