The stainless steel V2A that we use for our products (material number 1.4301/AISI 304) is very high quality and is corrosion resistant. However, under the constant influence of sea water or in a salty environment, the corrosion resistance is limited, and appropriate protection measures should be implemented.

The Heidelberg Wallbox Home Eco climate and Heidelberg Wallbox Energy Control climate impress with the identical technical design as the Heidelberg Wallbox Home Eco and Heidelberg Wallbox Energy Control. Visually, it differs by an additional graphic on the front panel. Both wallboxes are available with a 5-metre charging cable.

The addition „Climate“ means that the wallbox is CO2-compensated. 

Where CO₂ emissions cannot be avoided, we offset them by supporting selected climate protection projects. The biggest difference is that the Heidelberg Wallbox Energy Control has a communication interface (RS485). As a result, (1) local load management and (2) external control are possible:

If the wallbox is no longer connected to a vehicle, it switches to standby mode to reduce its consumption. In this state the wallbox switches off as many functions as possible, such as the light. Consumption is reduced to 1 to 1.3 W (depending on the model). The remaining consumption is required by the signal electronics to detect the connection of a vehicle and to send the wallbox into operating mode.

The Charger compact.lite reaches a max. charging power of up to 3.7 kW (max. 16A). Please adjust the charging power of the vehicle so that the fuse protection of the local installation is not exceeded, i.e. that the fuse is not triggered.

Yes, follow the instructions in the app to connect your wallbox to your home network via WLAN or connect a LAN line from your home network to the wallbox and connect it via the LAN port in the wallbox.
However, the installation of the LAN cable in the wallbox may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Call up the ≡ menu, select Devices and then click on the + button. Select the wallbox you want to pair (note that you can switch between different compatible devices).

If you want to remove a device from your user account, go to the ≡ menu, select Devices and then select the device you want to remove, then click the Remove button. Note that removing a device from your account does not remove any network configuration in the device itself.
To do this, you must reset the device itself. For information on how to do this, refer to the manual for the device.

You can change the preferred language in the app settings in your smartphone setting.

 Drag your finger downwards in the centre of the display to request a data refresh.

To edit the location, you can select the pin icon in the weather area. Click on the pin to accept your current location (you must activate location sharing to do this). Alternatively, you can search for and select a location using the text box.

Press the Connect button on the communication module for 15 seconds until the indicator LED lights up red twice. The communication module restarts and is reset to the factory setting. This process can take up to 90 seconds.

This can happen if a second user makes settings (via a second app or the device itself).

Follow the instructions in the operating manual under the section „Resetting the WLAN connection“.

If the wallbox is only connected via WLAN, you will no longer have access to operation via the app. However, manual charging is possible on site. Authentication at the wallbox via RFID still works.

No, the last settings are restored. Make sure that your router is powered again and connected to the internet to be able to control your devices via the app. However, charging has been interrupted and authentication via RFID may be required if enabled.

The following specifications are required to work with the Connect button:

WPA2 (also mixed WPA/ WPA2) network with AES or TKIP&AES encryption.
DHCP active
SSID must be recognisable (not hidden)
2.4 GHz network, normally 5 GHz routers also support 2.4 GHz in parallel.

Click on the message or on Notification in the menu to display the error message. There you will also find a note about possible solutions.

To check the connection status, check the LED on the communication module. If the LED is steady green, the connection is set up properly, and the system takes only a few minutes to respond. If the LED is not lit, the connection is broken.
Possible solutions to re-establish the connection are to switch off the unit and switch it on again or to check the router’s Internet connection.

Please check in the device settings if your device is still paired and online. If it is offline but available, please check your internet connection. If it has disappeared, please perform the pairing again by clicking on „Add device“.

The Combox Lite is a gateway and has no charging functionality.

The Combox Lite is intended exclusively for controlling a network of several Energy Control units.

The Combox Lite with load management is suitable, for example, for apartment buildings and company fleets.

The Combox is the leader in a load management network with several wallboxes and provides each follower (Energy Control Wallbox) with the corresponding current.

You can access each connected Energy Control Wallbox directly via a web interface. This gives you an overview of the respective current status, the charging energy per charging cycle, the charging behaviour and fault messages of each wallbox. In addition, you can import a software update for the Combox and each connected wallbox and implement dynamic load management.

Another option to connect the Combox to a backend via OCPP1.6 allows you to implement many functions that are available via the web interface via a cloud connection.

With static load management, the maximum current for the entire wallbox network is fixed. With dynamic load management, the maximum current is adjusted to the total consumption in the house installation. This requires a measuring system, which we offer as Heidelberg Combox Complete.

The Combox can regulate the charging of up to 16 connected Energy Control units. It is therefore the leader in a load management network. The available power can either be set in the Combox (static load management) or adjusted intelligently and variably depending on the power consumption in the building (dynamic load management). With dynamic load management, the optimal power for charging is always available without exceeding the grid connection power. For dynamic load management, an additional measuring device is required to record the power demand of the building installation. In the Combox, a software update for the latest range of functions may have to be carried out.

The Stele Solo Lite column has a high-quality metal alloy and is available in black. Additionally, there is the option of installing the “Charging cable holder” accessory on the Stele Solo Lite.
The Stele Solo/Duo columns are made of stainless steel (V2A), and with the Stele Duo it is also possible to attach two wallboxes.

Both key switches have 2 switching positions (on/off). The wallbox start-up procedure can only be performed with a key. This allows for effective access control. Additionally, 2 keys are always included in the scope of delivery.

With the GEBA key switch, the cylinder can be replaced if necessary (e.g. master key system).

Your vehicle can be charged with up to 11 kW with the wallbox from HEIDELBERG AMPERFIED, depending on the charging power of the vehicle and the power connection.

If, for example, your vehicle can only be charged with 3.7 kW, this is no problem for the wallbox from HEIDELBERG AMPERFIED: the car itself determines how much current should be drawn, the wallbox only monitors that the maximum current specification is not exceeded.

Charging time = battery capacity : charging capacity

While pure electric vehicles that are charged from an AC wallbox can usually draw charging current in all three alternating current phases, hybrid vehicles (plug-in) are often limited to one or two alternating current phases. Therefore, if a hybrid vehicle is connected to a wallbox, it is possible that not all phases are used, and the charging capacity is reduced accordingly.

Most AC wallboxes for the private sector offer a maximum charging capacity of 11 kW (AC). Wallboxes with more output not only need to be registered with your energy supplier, you also require additional approval so that the private power connection is not overloaded. In contrast, public charging stations often offer a higher charging capacity – more than 22 kW (AC or DC) – and can therefore carry out a faster charging process, provided that your e-vehicle supports this.

The DC fault current cut-off of the wallboxes from Heidelberg Ampferied meets the protection targets of IEC 62955-1. The prescribed RCD according to EN 61851-1 and VDE 0100-722 can therefore be an RCT type A.

Important note! The DC disconnection is not a personal protective device in the sense of VDE 0100-410. Therefore, it cannot be tested according to VDE 0100-600 or VDE 0105-100 with the usual test devices (installation testers). The DC disconnection cannot be tested in the RCD type B test mode of the test devices.

The DC disconnection must trip at a DC fault current of 6mA after max. 10 seconds.

For the installation, the electrician can select a type A RCD for the required RCD (residual current device). The integrated DC residual current disconnection meets the protection goals of IEC 62955-1.
